Child Abuse Procedures
This workshop outlines the importance of correctly reporting and documenting suspected child abuse in a child care setting. The workshop provides discussions and samples of detailing the situation and the information leading to reasonable cause to believe that a child has been or is being abused (daycare, home or outside), including the time, date and circumstances under which the information was presented. The 4 types of abuse (neglect, sexual, emotional and physical) will be presented and discussed detailing the signs and symptoms. Participants will learn when the life, health or emotional well-being of the child is endangered by the act or the omission of an act by a person, there are specific procedures and protocols that must be followed.
