Social and Emotional Development
Children who are socially and emotionally competent have: healthy self-esteem and self-confidence. During this workshop, participants will learn how to support children to develop social and emotional skills, understand the feelings of others, control their own feelings and behaviours, get along with other children, and build relationships with adults. Participants will learn how to create games, activities and group projects which teach social skills and support children's emotional development. During a group activity participant will create an environment, activities and group projects which will support children’s social and emotional development in their age group. Participants will also create a plan for children who need extra supports.
